Travel Through the Senses – Spain – Virtual Dining Experience
Join three chefs, a winemaker, and an olive oil expert as we guide you through Spain via the senses!
How It Works:
Guests will purchase a ticket by Sunday, 2/28 at 8 pm.
Upon purchase, guests will select their preferred pickup location (or delivery-from location)
***Out of state guests: option to purchase cheese, charcuterie, and wine only directly from Despana. We will ship to lower 48. We cannot ship meals from restaurants for this event.***
Meals will be available for pickup/delivery on Thursday, March 4th from 12 pm to 2 pm at designated locations (2-4pm in NYC).
This live virtual event will begin at 6 pm on Thursday, March 4th.
The broadcast will allow for chefs to give instructions on heating and plating, and feature April Cullom of Alma de Vino guiding a tasting of her two wines. The menu was written around Spanish culture, olive oil, and April’s wines. **Bonus – Chef Dani Peinado will give us olive oil tasting tips and tricks!
Travel Through the Senses: Spain – What to Expect at This Event
A true date-night experience, we’ll help you escape the doldrums of winter and possible quarantine with this event!
- Three delicious courses, inspired by wine and olive oil of Spain. Join Chef Tim Hardiman (Tailor and the Cook, Utica New York), Chef Michael Lanahan (The Cellar, Corning New York) and Chef Paco Parreño Grande (La Nacional, 14th Street, NYC) as they walk us through reheating and plating of the food, and the inspiration behind the dishes.
- Tasting tips and tricks from Winemaker April Cullom and Chef Dani Peinado, our resident olive oil expert. Learn to taste wine and olive oil in new ways, discovering new flavors as we pair them with the dishes!
- Join us at 6 pm for the cocktail hour! Enjoy imported cheeses, charcuterie, and snacks from Spain, brought to New York by Despana Foods.
- Escape. You’ll leave this event feeling warm and connected, even if dining alone. Connect with diners in other cities!

Note – Pickup is free. Delivery is $10 and the money goes to put out-of-work cooks on the road for a day.
