Burlap & Barrel Mother’s Day Heirloom Kitchen Experience with Anna Gass

Give the gift of heirloom recipes, along with single-origin spices to bring them to life, to your mom this Mother’s Day.  Then take it to the next level by joining her for this cooking class with chef and author Anna Gass!

Dining Inside Out will provide a 3 course mezze-style meal for guests to reheat, plate, and enjoy throughout the program!

How It Works:

  • Guests will purchase tickets at www.dininginsideout.com by Sunday, May 9th at 8 pm.
  • Upon purchase, guests will select their preferred pickup location (or shipping/local delivery for an additional fee)
  • After ticket sales end, guests will receive e-mails with instructions for pickup and more about the event
  • Meals and add-ons will be available for pickup/delivery on Friday, May 14th at designated locations.  Shipped boxes will arrive before event begins.
  • Guests will receive an invitation to a live broadcast featuring Anna Gass, chef and author of Heirloom Kitchen – Heritage Recipes and Family Stories from the Fables of Immigrant Women.  Together with Anna, guests will reheat and plate their meals, learn about spices from Burlap & Barrel, and celebrate women and family with food and fables!
  • This live virtual event will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 14th

Heirloom Kitchen Experience – What to Expect at This Event

A dining experience centered around Mother’s Day, with a focus on cooking with spices and heritage recipes.

    • Anna Francese Gass, chef and author of “Heirloom Kitchen”, joins us to demonstrate how to prepare the dishes from scratch.
    • Meanwhile, guests at home reheat and plate alongside Anna – very minimal cooking involved at home.
    • Learn about spices featured in the recipes from Burlap & Barrel (kits of 3 or all 6 available as an add-on)
      • Silk Chili Flakes
      • Wild Mountain Cumin
      • New Harvest Turmeric
      • Smoked Pimenton Paprika
      • Royal Cinnamon
      • Cloud Forest Cardamom
    • Copies of Anna’s book along with spices and a set of kitchen towels available for purchase – send a gift box to your mom!

Anna teaches guests to make pita chips (ingredients & instructions for chips included) to enjoy with the Armenian style hummus!
